Why The Cross? A Look at Grace

Easter will be upon us in a few days. As with every holiday, the stores have been packed with the items specific to it. In this case, there are eggs, bunnies, chocolate and crosses everywhere! Joy is in the air! However, for a Christian, Easter is both bitter and sweet. It marks the memory of the time in history when their Savior, Jesus Christ, died a horrific death on the cross. He was God’s son, who lived a sinless life yet was plotted against and died on that cross an innocent man.

WHY? Why did Jesus have to die? WHY THE CROSS?

It was a rough week at my house. From ear infections to runny noses, from croupy coughs to bronchitis, from low-grade fevers to aching bodies, we had it all. As a stay-at-home mom to a two-year-old, I don’t have time to be sick, but when the toddler and I are under the weather at the same time. . .

Don’t think for one minute that I suffered in silence. Why would I when there’s an entire online world out there waiting to “Like,” “Favorite,” “Share,” “Comment” on, and “Retweet” my misery? What to Do with the Cross

The Cross of Christ changed everything. From the timeline of history to the timelessness of our souls, the cross divides the before and after. At the Cross we find ourselves before the God of creation and the Lord of all. We will leave the foot of the Cross in a moment that changes everything, whether or not we say “Yes” or “No” to the gift of His life. The Cross changes everything.
