Motherhood is the toughest challenge women face, whether you’re raising a gentle soul or a tantrum-throwing type A personality. Part of this is because along with motherhood comes worry.
Jesus cautioned His followers not to worry about tomorrow because today has worry enough, but mothers spend many sleepless nights worrying about their children, whether they’re safe, and what their future will be. Jesus was about to be arrested and He knew it was going to happen. He knew who had betrayed Him and knew the terrible persecution He was about to face. Jesus predicted His death several times to His disciples.
In Luke 18:31 Jesus took the twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.”

Would Jesus be happy walking in your church on Sunday morning, or would He be angry? What would He find? Sleepy believers going through the routine of worship? Would He find believers there ready to engage and worship?
Jesus walked in the Temple in Jerusalem and became angry at what was going on (Mathew 21: 12-13). He found people using this sacred place to sell goods and crowded out the Gentiles from being able to worship.
After being a mom for almost 20 years, there are many things I would love to call a “Do Over” on. My son is a becoming an amazing young man. He has a heart of gold to help others, and he works great with young children. (more…)
