Weak Like the Apostle Paul

Weak Like the Apostle Paul

This is a song for those beginning their Christian journey. God beacons us out of our “comfort zone” so we will be off balance and leaning on Him for support. Remaining weak, we will discover the strength of Jesus’ love.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses,  so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9, 10 ESV)

The Apostle Paul recognized that when he felt strong, he was more likely to forget to rely on the power of Christ. Therefore, his struggles forced his dependence on the supremacy of Jesus. Paul’s mortal influence is not comparable to the might of God. The goal of my life is to be feeble like Paul.

If you are a gourmet cook, but not such a great housekeeper, devote more effort to the housework and simplify your meals.”

There is a new philosophy taught now: (more…)
