“Here Comes the Bride” was replaced by “Bless the Broken Road” as I walked down a hall to meet my groom and begin our new life together.
Radiance and beauty were my desire as I wore a beautiful cream-colored dress with lace and pearls and a stunning pearl and crystal necklace and earrings for this perfect day we had planned. My long auburn hair was pulled up with curls down the side of my face.
Just two weeks before, my daddy had suddenly passed away and I added one red rose to my bouquet of white roses in honor of him.
My ten-year-old son was on one arm and my fifteen-year-old daughter on the other as they led me to the bottom of the steps to await my groom. He came down to get me, his bride, to join him at (more…)
