Hi!

I’m Christy! Thanks for stopping by Ask God Today.

In continuation of our series we have this month called “Season of Harvest,” we have a video blog for you today.

This video blog is based on a passage out of the book of Matthew chapter 9. Let’s dive right in!

Mat 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Mat 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;

Mat 9:38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Well you might have heard a word–“Harvest”–with our series entitled “Season of Harvest,” that word kept bouncing around and I was reminded of this passage in Matthew and another passage in Luke where this word “harvest” comes up.

I got to thinking about harvest time and reaping, gathering and bringing in all that needs to be gathered up from a season of growth. God has given His people to be instruments of labor for the harvest of men that we have around us at all times.

If we are in Christ we are a new creation and we have the message of reconciliation within us. And God has appointed us as laborers into His harvest to share that message.

So, I just have a quick challenge for you today, thinking about that verse and meditating on the word harvest. As we sit down to our tables this Thanksgiving time at meal time when family and friends gather around, would you think about the instrument that you are and you have been appointed to be as a laborer in the harvest with that message of reconciliation?

Or if you are in need of that message, you’re sitting here saying “What’s the message of reconciliation? I don’t even know what she’s talking about.”

I’m talking about the gospel.

I’m talking about the fact that we are sinners, and that there is no work of righteousness that we can do that will save us. But Christ came to earth as a man, flash forward to Christmas-the 25th of December-we celebrate the birth of Jesus. And basically that’s the beginning of His path to the cross.

We are sinners in need of a Savior, and Jesus is that Savior. @Christylouhoo Click To Tweet

He’s the only One who came and lived a perfect life and died an atoning death who can satisfy the wrath of God that abides on us.

And that’s the message.

If you want to ask any questions about that or you want to know more, feel free to contact us by leaving a comment below or look us up on Facebook and message the Team Page

We would be happy to walk you through the gospel, or to encourage you in what to say when you go out into the harvest as a laborer this season.

Or maybe you are one that needs to be harvested in. We would be happy to be a part of that journey with you.

Thank you for stopping by, thank you for listening… AND. Also before we go, I just want to tell you there are some exciting things on the horizon for Ask God Today. You’re really going to want to be a part of it.

So stay tuned for some fun, exciting announcements about something special that’s coming!
